Roshan added, "It is a pleasure to be a part of this celebration and Team MacroMan. Live the moment, Live the action is something that transcends what one wears. It is about what one is and it is something that I have been trying to live by. So when I endorse MacroMan its appeal to me lies beyond just being an endorser of the brand; it makes me feel like someone who is intimately involved with the brand. I am happy that over the two years of my association with it we have come such a long way. It has truly been a pleasant experience."

Another report from Deccan Chronicle.

"Fitness is my meditation; my way of life," he said and added, "Your body is the only thing that belongs solely to you and no one can take it away from you. My body is my temple and I worship it. Once you start a regime, you'll notice the difference in your performance — mental, physical and spiritual". He was later presented with a painting of himself.

Though Hrithik has been avoiding being in the spotlight of late, he kept to business commitments. "Actors do endorsements for two reasons — money and visibility. But my association with this brand goes beyond the commerce of being a brand ambassador. I can identify with the people that are behind the product. I can identify with their sincerity and the efforts they put in to bring out an honest product for consumers," said the well-sculpted actor.

Hrithik in new Hide-n-Seek ad
April 22, 2009
Hrithik has teamed up with choreographer Ganesh Hegde for a new Hide-n-Seek commercial which will air on TV later this month.

"The commercial required a radically different sound concept and what Ganesh conceived, composed and executed was brilliant," Hrithik said in a statement. "Working on the commercial with Ganesh was a gift from god. After three agonising years with damaged knees, managing to justify his genius choreography was extremely challenging. I'm happy to say that this one is going to be our best yet and the entire credit goes to Ganesh," said the actor, who underwent a knee surgery last year.

The Kite Runner: Sandy's interview with Anurag Basu
April 5, 2009
Anurag Basu talks about Kites and working with Hrithik in an interview with Naachgaana

Talking about how Kites happened, he says, "Rakesh Roshan called me to his office and asked me if I had any ideas for a film. At that point of time, I only had stories which needed an ensemble cast. He said, 'No, I need something for Hrithik as the single protagonist' That's when he gave me a one –line idea and asked me if I could develop a screenplay. I went back and wrote it. When I narrated it to both Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik, they both liked it," he says.

The director says that he also struck a nice working balance with Hrithik. "He's so easy to work with because he does half the things himself. His role here is completely different from what he did in Jodhaa Akbar and Krrish and he's just superb in the film. Now, Hrithik is someone who believes in a lot of preparation and I am probably the most disorganized director in the industry. I even write my script on the sets! Since I was the line producer on Metro, I was not answerable to anyone. But with Kites, it was different and yet, Hrithik adapted wonderfully. We struck a neat balance where we could be prepared and yet spontaneous. Hrithik was very open to improvisation and that helped us," he says.

Talking about the film itself that releases in Diwali, Basu understands that much is at stake. "It's scary the amount of money and hype that Kites is riding on. As clichéd as it may sound, Kites is a very different film and has potential to reach out to a world audience. It will show that universal themes are possible," he says. Full interview.
