Hrehaan Roshan celebrated his first birthday on March 28 and according to TOI the kid had a blast
It was a kiddie jungle out there (what with it being a Jungle Book theme) when Hrithik and Sussanne Roshan's baby boy turned one on March 28. Hrithik flew down straight from an ad shoot in Bangkok for Hrehaan's special day, where he cut a Jungle Book cake. More than 40 kids, from Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan's kids Suhana and Aryan to Akshay and Twinkle Kumar's son Aarav, along with their mommies, attended Hrehaan first birthday party at his Juhu home at about 4 in the afternoon.
"I have never seen a one-year-old kid enjoying his own birthday so much. He was a rock star at his party," said doting grandmother Pinky Roshan whose sentiments were echoed by grandmom Zarine Khan, "Hrehaan didn't cry at all and had so much fun!" Hrehaan wore cargo pants, replete with a cap and no, he didn't break into a Dhoom 2 jig like super dad Hrithik!
Rakesh Roshan just enjoyed watching his grandson having a blast, as did aunt Sunaina and her daughter Suranika. Rani Mukerji came with her little niece, Kajol with daughter Nysa, Zayed and Malaika Khan, Farah and Aqeel Ali along with Fiza and Azaan, Simone and Ajay Arora with their three kids, Malaika Arora-Khan with her son Arhaan, it was a full house at the Roshan fold, with the kids running around and having a blast.
Ashutosh Gowariker cancels all leave of Jodha Akbar unit
March 29, 2007
Director Ashutosh Gowariker wants to complete Jodhaa-Akbar shooting by next week before the wedding of Ash and Abhishek next month.
With the news bells ringing out the news of the much awaited Abhishek Bachchan-Aishwarya Rai wedding, and with the date being 'fixed' for Apirl 20th, (according to reports), a source informs us that director-producer Ashutosh Gowariker, who is currently busy shooting the Hrithik Roshan-Aishwarya Rai starrer Jodha-Akbar, has cancelled all leave of his unit. The shooting of the Hrithik-Ash film is now on at full throttle, only because Gowariker wants to complete the movie on schedule. Someone from the unit informs us, "Ashutosh wants to finish the shooting by the first week of April itself; that's why the shooting is going on at full pace, sometimes even without breaks. All this to beat the shaadi deadline. We have almost wrapped up the film, it's only a question of a few more scenes, now. We will mostly be done before our scheduled date." Now that's some fast and smart work from Ashu Gowariker.

Hrithik's really grown up
March 29, 2007
Actress Poonam Sinha talks about her comeback as Hrithik's mother in Jodhaa-Akbar.
Yesteryear actress Poonam Sinha (wife of actor-turned-MP Shatrughan Sinha) is making a comeback of sorts with Ashutosh Gowariker's magnum opus Jodha Akbar. The actress, who plays Akbar's mother Hameeda Bano, is presently filming in Karjat along with Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai. However, facing the camera after a sabbatical of over 30 years has not been easy for her. "Having been out of this vocation for so many years I feel like a fossil, acting with Hrithik and Ash," she says. She further adds, "I have memories of Duggu (referring to Hrithik Roshan) as a child. It's fantastic to see him as a well-groomed guy." Full article

Hrithik doing Dilli 6?
March 26, 2007
Trade magazine, Variety reports that Hrithik will star in Rakeysh Mehra's Dilli 6, I thought the cast is not confirmed yet. Variety doesn't usually post something that is not confirmed, guess we'll have to wait and see.
Tall tabloid tales
March 26, 2007
The Telegraph talked about the recent report about Adlabs deal with Hrithik and said that the deal still stands.
The buzz this week in the film industry centred around the abrupt cancellation of the Rs 30-crore deal between Hrithik Roshan and Adlabs-Reliance. The story in a tabloid even gave it authenticity by quoting Manmohan Shetty of Adlabs who steadfastly maintained that he had never confirmed such a deal in the first place, and, if the Roshans had talked about it, then go and check with them.
I did.
For years, one has known Rakesh Roshan to be a very cautious man. Ditto for Hrithik who, like his dad, goes by the book and will never confirm a deal unless it is signed and sealed. It would be completely out of character for either of them to open their mouths prematurely.
Here’s emphatic proof that the whopping contract had been signed and delivered to Hrithik. During a meeting early this year, I’d asked him what he was going to do with so much money. Hrithik Roshan had, firstly, confirmed that Rs 30 crore was the correct figure on the contract and had then remarked, “It is a deal for three films, those films have to first go on the floors and get made. Only then would I have earned the money.” In other words, he had got the money but would consider it earned only after he had delivered as an actor.
I had also observed aloud that his deal had pushed up star prices all around, to which Hrithik’s swift reply had been, “I think nobody will part with his money foolishly. I have become the focus, the centre of attention, because I am the first one who has been offered that price. But very soon it will become the norm and it will stop looking so outstanding.”
However, Hrithik himself had done a double take when the offer had initially been made to him. He sportingly admitted, “I thought they were joking. I’m not very conversant with the marketability, money, prices and the commercial aspect of films. I’ve always left that to my dad, he’s a genius at it. My dad explained how the market was moving, he told me that it was not an offer to be surprised by.”
It’s inconceivable that such a deep discussion could have taken place between Hrithik Roshan and me if there had been even a milligram of doubt over its validity. Which is why the story this week that the deal had been called off, caused a stir. But the truth is that Rakesh Roshan, who is currently in Khandala working on a new film that he will be producing but not directing, was himself surprised to learn that the deal had ostensibly fallen through.
“That’s news to me,” he laughed. “We too came to know about it only from the tabloid story. If Hrithik confirmed the deal to you, he was absolutely right. There is a deal with Adlabs and it has not fallen through.”
Once again, the media loses its credibility by turning a rumour into a story with a quote thrown in to back it up. The deal with Hrithik thus stands. But the deep pockets of the corporates that’ve come into the film industry are not emptying themselves in a hurry. They are doing a serious rethink over playing blind with astronomical stakes on big star names. A few reasons why those skyrocketing contracts are not coming through: You heard that John Abraham was offered a Rs 21-crore deal at an absurd Rs 7 crore per film. He has four straight box-office duds to his credit: Baabul, Kabul Express, Salaam-e-Ishq, Water. Why would anybody want to corner his dates at an unheard-of price?
It’s rumoured that Salman Khan has been offered Rs 11 crore for a film. SK has had three no-shows recently: Jaan-e-Mann, Baabul, Salaam-e-Ishq. Can he give you a money-back guarantee?
For that matter, the much-venerated Amitabh Bachchan has a Rs 4 crore fee but Baabul, Eklavya and Nishabd didn’t attract any audience even on the release day.
Hrithik’s deal may have squeaked through. But it’s going to take a long while before any other star inks a contract which will give him a take-home salary of Rs 10 crore plus every time he nods at a film offer! -- Bharathi S. Pradhan
Ash on a 'just cause'
March 21, 2007
First, I want to apologies for the delay in news reports, they will be a weettle bit late than usual because I'm shifting my attention to certain pirates and rockers for the next couple of months, so, thousand apologies. If you have any problem downloading videos on the media page don't hesitate to email me. Anyway, Aishwarya Rai has been checking out the editing room, she wants the teaser trailer for Jodhaa-Akbar to feature her first. I have no objection but would be more nicer to see both she and Hrithik, don't you think?
After two successful films (Guru and Dhoom:2) in 2006, Aishwarya Rai wants to ensure that 2007 belongs to her. And so she's been busy checking out promos of Ashutosh Gowariker's Jodha Akbar in the editing suite. An insider reveals that the director has zeroed in on two particular teasers: one, which opens with Hrithik Roshan as Akbar, and the other with Ash as Jodha. The director is having trouble choosing which trailer to go with, and we're told Ash has been pushing him to go with the one featuring her first. Frankly, we think there's nothing wrong with that. Why fault Ash for wanting to ensure that Roshan doesn't steal all the limelight from her like he did in D:2? After all, the nation (and us) is still drooling over Mr A! Totally justified, girl!
Kissa kiss ka
March 21, 2007
Make-up artiste James talks about Hrithik and Sussanne
While there were rumours about the Bachchans being upset with the kiss between Aishwarya Rai and Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2, we learn it was a totally 'chilled' scenario in the Roshan household. Hrithik, who is fondly called 'Bholunath' by wife Sussanne, shares a great camaraderie with his teenage love-cum-spouse. Make-up artiste James, who has been working with Hrithik right from his Kaho Na Pyaar Hai days, is totally smitten by Duggu's child-like simplicity.
James reveals, "Before the Dhoom 2 kiss, Hrithik was very nervous. So, he had a discussion with Sussanne. She encouraged him to go ahead. Hrithik and Sussanne make for a very loving couple. They have deep trust in each other and are more like friends." A Hrithik loyalist, James also adds, "Hrithik is a complete family man. The moment pack-up is announced, he rushes home."
Hrithik loses deal worth crores
March 20, 2007
There are reports saying that that Adlabs never signed a deal with Hrithik on paper.
Idle talk. That's what those so-called multi-crore deals between Adlabs and Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar were all about. Adlabs never signed a deal with either Hrithik or Akshay on paper. An industry source says, "Initially, everything was hunky-dory. But after stories about Hrithik Roshan's Rs 36 crore three-film contract appeared in the press, talks between him and Adlabs soured. Presently, no such deal exists." When asked about the status of Roshan Jr's deal, Adlabs chairman and managing director Manmohan Shetty tells us, "I have no clue how the news got splashed all over the media. Santabanta
---------------------
Barely five months after having made headlines with a three-film contract worth Rs 35 crore with Adlabs Films, the buzz doing the rounds is that Hrithik Roshan has opted out of it. Reportedly, the five-year contract, which had the actor choosing directors and scripts, has gone kaput owing to so-called differences the actor had with the production company.
Manmohan Shetty, managing director of Adlabs Films, is not forthcoming about the not-so-pleasant episode. He says, "When I have never announced that the deal has taken place where is the question of the deal falling through coming from?" We jog him down the memory lane and remind him about papa Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik having confirmed the deal in the recent past. He says, "I guess then you should ask them and not me. I had never made a statement then and I'm not making one now." -- Mumbai Mirror

Hrithik is Bollywood's ideal man

Hrithik is one of Bollywood's ideal man
Happily married to Sussanne and a doting father to son Hrehan, this exceptionally gorgeous actor is every girl's dream. He is handsome, hot and a darling father. Isn't it pretty much everything that a woman looks for in her ideal man?
Hrithik to play Aladdin
March 15, 2007
Times Now reports that Hrithik will play the title role in Aladin to be produced by Rohan Sippy. Big B will play the genie.
Life is definitely on the upswing for Hrithik Roshan. The blue eyed boy of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan is rocking with meaty roles. With the stupendous success in Krrish and Dhoom 2, he has another plum role as Aladin in a Rs 70 crore blockbuster to be produced by Rohan Sippy. The role is opposite Amitabh Bachchan.
But according to sources Hrithik is forgetting his old benefactors. Zoya Akhtar was one of the few directors who was ready to take a chance on Hrithik post Lakshya. It seems he is unwilling to return the favour. The actor has now opted out of Zoya's much touted love story. Though close friends cite the sizzling chemistry with Kareena and Suzanne Khan's ire as the main cause of the actor's denial to accept Zoya's offer. The fact is Zoya's film is a small fry as compared to the whopping Aladdin that stars none other than the Big B as the genie.
After all when you have a Rs 70 crore budget movie and a superstar cast, can we really blame Hrithik for giving love story a pass? It looks like the junior Roshan has finally realised that you are only as good as your last film.

Let there be light
March 14, 2007
Director Ashutosh Gowariker, is reportedly irked with the film's cinematographer Kiran Deohans who is taking his time to arrange the lights on the set thereby creating delays during the film's shooting schedule.
According to sources on the sets, Kiran Deohans's team takes nearly half a shift to arrange the lights. Says our source, "Kiranji reports to the sets on time and sits with all the technicians and works on the light composition of Diwan-e-Khas and Jodha Mahal. While he works on every little detail of the film's light composition, the actors and director have to wait for Deohans to give the green signal to start shooting. Sometimes the ait seems too long."
Apparently Ashutosh has tried to explain Kiran that he needs to finish the light composition on time and can't take forever at the cost of making all his technicians wait. "As Ashutosh is very fond of Kiranji's work, he tries not to show his impatience too strongly him. However, Ashutosh does make his point firmly," adds our source.
Art director Nitin Desai says, "I think Ashutosh has a fair idea of what goes into the making an epic film, after Lagaan. When he was planning Jodha Akbar, he was very sure that shooting indoors would take more time than shooting outdoors. Kiran is a brilliant cinematographer and he shares a good understanding with Ashutosh."
However, Desai doesn;t deny the fact that Kiran takes a lot of time working on the lights. He adds, "It's true that his team members come to the sets at 7:30 am and only by 11:00 am are they ready with the sets. We have made a detailed time-table, which clearly states the timings when the sunlight falls on which part of the sets. The sets are 1300 feet tall and one needs to work on the light composition to add depth. Yes, Kiran does take time on the sets, but I don't Ashu think is not holding him responsible for delays. Kiran is trying to give the film a perfect look, which shows his level of professionalism and perfectionist attitude. These are production problems, or rather creative problems, that are part of any historical film."
Jodhaa-Akbar delayed?
March 14, 2007
Rumour has it that Jodhaa-Akbar is running behind schedule but UTV denies it and said the film will be released on Oct 12 as scheduled.
Is Jodhaa-Akbar delayed? The rumor mills insist that Ashutosh Gowariker's historical is running behind schedule, with cinematographer Kiran Deohans taking a lot of time to light the sets. Resultantly, only two or three shots are being filmed in an entire day. Translated into simple terms, it means Jodhaa-Akbar will not release on 12th October.
"We've been hearing a lot of things against Jodhaa-Akbar since quite some time. But none of it is true," Siddharth Roy Kapur of UTV sets the record straight. What about the latest news-report? Is it a false siren as well? "Of course, don't believe it! We've locked 12th October as the release date of Jodhaa-Akbar and we aren't postponing the film even by a single day. That says it all," Siddharth adds.
Continuing in the same vein, Siddharth adds, "Ashutosh has an eye for details. Besides, he had planned everything at the very outset. Let me also assure you that he's canning more than those number of shots in a day. Everything is moving as per schedule." Another rumor bites the dust!
Krrish-tal gazing
March 13, 2007
Mumbai Mirror reports that Hrithik has been recommending Priyanka Chopra to filmmakers
Lately we've been hearing that Hrithik Roshan is taking personal interest in promoting Priyanka Chopra. Which has left us wondering whether it is purely for professional reasons or is there more than meets the eye?
The actor, who has always been politically correct, seems to be recommending Priyanka Chopra's name to his friends and colleagues lately. Recently, the actor reportedly suggested to Zoya Akhtar that she cast Priyanka Chopra in her forthcoming venture. "It was small role, but an important character in the film. Hrithik was aware of the fact that Kareena is not in talking terms with Priyanka since they worked together in Aitraaz. Post-Krrish Hrithik Roshan has been recommending Priyanka to filmmakers, may be because he is impressed with her acting," says our source.
Priyanka came close to Roshan family after Hrithik and Rakesh Roshan signed her for Krrish. Incidentally, Rakesh Roshan wanted to cast Aishwarya Rai in Krrish, but Ash naturally refused to do a screen test. "It was basically a 'look' test, with Ash mistook as screen test. Meanwhile Priyanka was keen on working with Rakesh Roshan and she agreed to go through a screen test to get the role," says our source.
Unit members say that Hrithik and Priyanka bonded well during the first schedule of Krrish itself. Incidentally, Priyanka's father was unwell when she was in Singapore shooting for Krrish. "So both, Rakesh and Hrithik were very protective and caring about Priyanka. She was treated like a family member, all through the shoot," says our source.
We don't swear by it, of course, but rumour has it that Hrithik has recommended Priyanka to Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar, Farah Khan, and even Rakyesh Om Prakash Mehra. Even dad Rakesh Roshan might cast Priyanka Chopra in Krrish 3. Not just that, very soon they will be seen in a commercial campaign together too.
Priyanka is in touch with Hrithik. They claim to be 'good friends' too. But then again, they may be strictly discussing work.
Glassy avatars of Bollywood
March 13, 2007
Rediff has a list of actors who looks good even with glasses and of course Hrithik is one of them.
Now if there is one guy who can look great in anything or nothing, it's Hrithik Roshan. And glasses are hardly an exception to that rule. To differentiate the sober Rohit from the sophisticated Raj, the actor rendered the latter a classy pair of rims! The next time around it was Rohit's turn to do the same. In the blockbuster alien flick, Koi... Mil Gaya, Hrithik's mentally challenged character wears glasses and half sweaters, suggesting a delicate health background. Certainly, once Jadoo comes into the picture, all weakness goes 'poof'.
Kismet Talkies rumour
March 13, 2007
I'm getting tired of reporting this, he's in, he's out, it's on, it's not, make up your mind people!
Zoya Akhtar's debut venture Kismet Talkies seems to be in trouble all the time. Chances of the project starting soon seem bleaker now, with the buzz doing the rounds about Hrithik Roshan being unwilling to work with Kareena Kapoor. Not only that, Hrithik has also reportedly asked for the script to be reworked. And no, chances of Kareena featuring in the reworked version is very bleak.
In fact, Kareena has been heard asking whether Zoya plans to make the film at all, since she hasn't heard about it from her, in ages. She hasn't been shown the script yet either. What's more, Bebo's dates are blocked for the rest of the year with three films, so that may be an issue too.
Meanwhile, Zoya Akhtar reworked the first draft of the script to keep Hrithik happy, but to no avail. According to our source, "Somehow Hrithik was not convinced still, and asked her to postpone the project." Zoya, eager to salvage her forthcoming film, continued to ideate. "Hrithik will work with Zoya for sure. He has signed a contract with producer Ritesh Sidwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner of Excel Entertainment. Moreover, Zoya is a friend," says our source.
When we contacted Zoya Akhtar, she said, "I don't want to talk about my project at the moment, I think it's too premature to talk about it now."
However, industry insiders insist that Hrithik has been hesitant about the film ever since Zoya signed Kareena for the project. His wife Suzanne, sources say, is not too happy with husband Hrithik teaming up with Kareena. A few years ago, it was reported in the media that Hrithik had an affair with Kareena, during the making of K3G. Although both of them deny it, they have never worked together after that.
Even after the two signed Kismet Talkies, the cold vibes persisted. In an earlier interview to Mumbai Mirror, Hrithik clearly stated that, "I am doing Zoya's film. I don't know who else is associated with the project." Kareena remained indifferent too. She told Mumbai Mirror, "I liked my character in the film very much. I have never signed any film because of the hero. I am happy that Hrithik is doing the film, but I would have done the film even if he hadn't been associated with the film."
Just when Zoya thought she had managed to convince Hrithik, things took a turn for the worse and now Kareena may not do the film. "Kareena has no formal intimation from Zoya yet, but she doesn't know whether she's in the film or not any more. In fact, Hrithik has recommended Priyanka Chopra's name for the film," our source reveals.
We tried to get in touch with Hrithik Roshan for his version but his publicist refused to give us his new number.
And another rumour from DNA
Producer Ritesh Sidhwani refutes rumours of the actor walking out of the Zoya Akhtar directorial. When Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor agreed to be cast together in the Zoya Akhtar directorial, ‘Kismet Talkies’ to be produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, it seemed a casting coup. Incidentally, the two actors had decided not to act together for a while now.
However, it later came to be known that Hrithik had decided not to be a part of the film. The recent buzz is that Kareena has also decided to walk out of the film. Ritesh refutes this saying, “First of all, Hrithik didn’t walk out of the film. Zoya and he have been in talks for a year and half! During the conversations, they got excited about another project. They want to work together on that film first.”
He continues, “However, we still want to produce ‘Kismet Talkies’. So we have been in talks with other actors to be cast opposite Kareena. Kareena is still very much a part of our film. We are waiting to get the right actor and his dates to pair opposite her. We are disturbed by the rumours of Kareena not being a part of our movie. ‘Kismet Talkies’ excites us as a film and we cannot wait to start shooting it,” he asserts.

Making ripples in Bollywood
March 12, 2007
An article from Tonight about today's actors and their looks and has this to say about Hrithik.
How about Hrithik Roshan, who looked out of this world in Sanjay Gadhvi's Dhoom 2. If you saw the film, you will agree that his bronzed complexion looked like he had stepped out of the cover of a Mills & Boon book. Kitted in leather, with his unruly long mane flying in the wind, one could get very used to that look.

Cost and effect: celebrations in limited editions
March 11, 2007
Sussanne Roshan commented on TOI article about whether selling rights for those 'special moments' is really such a profitable deal.
Considering India's preoccupation with Bollywood, are there chances of a mega event, perhaps like the Abhiash nuptials, ever attracting commercial interest in India?
A horrified Sussanne Roshan reacts with a "never, not possible! I would never be comfortable doing such a thing. In fact, the idea would not be popular in India." Sussanne's marriage to Hrithik Roshan in 2000 and the subsequent birth of son Hrehaan, garnered huge media attention.
She continues on a more even note, "Abroad, it is a well-received concept. The celebs often donate the money earned to a charity. So the purpose is not just making money. Perhaps it also ensures there is no unnecessary over-exposure. But in India, we still believe that there are certain moments in life which one certainly wants to keep private and untainted by anything commercial, especially marriage," Roshan adds.
A charitable thought and one quite contrary to what her father-in-law Rakesh believes. Roshan Sr who "personally will not be comfortable with the idea," nevertheless wouldn't be surprised if such a trend comes here soon. "Everything is becoming so commercial," he responds cynically.

Hrithik inaugurates a dermo cosmetology clinic at Lilavati Hospital. New pic included.
Bollywood's latest heart throb and action hero Hrithik Roshan is fighting shy of all the compliments thrown at him post Dhoom 2. We caught the star on his day out. Post Dhoom 2 and several awards later Hrithik Roshan has been basking in the limelight. But the reticent 'Duggu' as he is popularly known isn't really comfortable with compliments like "perfect" and "Greek god" coming his way. Hrithik decided to spend his Sunday morning by inaugurating a dermo cosmetology clinic at Lilavati Hospital. When asked about what he would like to do with the equipment surrounding him he candidly said, "I think, I should care more about my skin" So even with a full life that includes fitting into Akbar's shoes among others, guess there's always room for improvement!

I've done my research for 'Jodha-Akbar': Gowarikar
March 8, 2007
Director Ashutosh Gowarikar said he had done his research before finalising the script for Jodhaa-Akbar
In the backdrop of the court case filed by a Rajasthani community against his under-production historical film Jodha-Akbar, director Ashutosh Gowarikar said he would not do anything that would hurt the sentiments of any community. "I did my research even when I did Laagan. I have gone through historical books before finalising my script. I have done my research for Jodha-Akbar also and would not do anything wrong and take every precaution to see that sentiments of no community is hurt," Gowarikar said at the second anniversary of ND studios on Wednesday. He said that animals in the film were used only after obtaining required permission from the authorities. About the disagreement of the facts by historians, the court said the Censor Board will look into these aspects before certifying the film.
'Someone' turns hero
March 7, 2007
Raju Hirani plans to cast Hrithik, Saif Ali Khan and Abhishek Bachchan as the Great Indian Heroes.
Bollywood filmmakers seem to be increasingly resorting to Chetan Bhagat's novels for inspiration. Atul Agnihotri's adaptation of the author's One Night @ a Call Centre (2005)- Hello - is already underway. Now, apart from the third instalment of the cult Munnabhai series, Rajkumar Hirani has started working on another script, based on Chetan Bhagat's novel Five Point Someone: What Not To Do At IIT (2004).
The filmmaker, who has reportedly been wanting to make a film revolving around our education system, has relocated himself in Kenya to finish the script. The film, which is scheduled to hit the floors at the end of this year, focuses on the plight of college students coping with academics. An ex-IITian himself, Bhagat's Five Point Someone is a slice of life at IIT.
The plot revolves around three low-graders who choose to study less and play more. Needless to say, vodka, weed and Pink Floyd are on the top of their mind. In no time the faculty and the nine pointers start looking down upon the not-so-awesome threesome. The conflict arises when the threesome break into a professor's house and try to leak examination papers. There's an equal does of romance too with one of the guys falling for a professor's daughter. However, Hirani continues to be tight-lipped about the flick. When quizzed about the film the filmmaker chooses to say, "Yes I'm working on it. But it's too early to make any comments. You want me to talk about Munnabhai 3?"
A source close to the filmmaker says, "One can't deny the universal appeal of the three characters who are battling with academics, expectant parents, gender role, suicidal instincts etc. Of course, it did strike Raju and here's a film in the making. However, the plot should reflect the dichotomy between academics and an individual's creativity."
As for the cast, the filmmaker is hopeful of including several A-listers. And Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi are not in the running for sure. If all goes well Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and even a newbie Ranbir Kapoor might figure on the cast list.
Just two scenes in a day
March 7, 2007
According to this report, production of Jodhaa-Akbar is running behind schedule, thanks to gidgetong for the tip.
Ashutosh Gowarikar's Jodhaa Akbar took months to go on the floors and it's already running behind schedule. According to sources from ND Studio where he's shooting the film might be delayed more. It seems that Gowarikar's cinematographer Kiran Deohans is taking too much time to light the sets with the result that they end up canning two or maximum three shots a day. With this speed, wonder when Gowarkar will complete the film.
Hrithik: Heading the Aamir way
March 7, 2007
Hrithik is following Aamir Khan's footsteps, working on one project at a time.
Guess who's treading the same path as perfectionist Aamir? None other than our very own super-hero Hrithik Roshan. Like AK, HR too believes in working on one film at a time. And that's why after the success of Krrish, he worked on Dhoom 2 and now it's only Ashutosh Gowariker's Jodha Akbar. He says he's going to stick to doing one film at a time and that's why he plans to take a much needed break after completing Jodha-Akbar. So all those producers waiting to approach the super-hero, better pull up their socks and make him an offer he can't refuse!

The changing face of Bollywood's hero
March 4, 2007
An article about Bollywood's hero that has this to say about Hrithik
Even when it comes to eye candy, popcorn eaters will stop chewing only for someone of Hrithik Roshan's hunky calibre in 'Dhoom 2'. In his pirate patches, long tresses and pink shirt, he is one dude who can put any Hollywood hero to shame in the body department.
Hrithik's proportionate achievement!
March 4, 2007
Short article about Hrithik from India Times
This current eye candy of Bollywood has already smitten one and all with his Greek God looks and incredible dance moves. Always striving for perfection, this hottie's grueling work-out sessions and all those strict fitness regimes has finally helped him achieve what he has always wanted to - an Adonis-like well-shaped body. Like a fitness-expert tells us, "Initially, Hrithik's body showed imbalance wherein he had big arms and a thin body; but now if you see him, he has not only worked on his legs, abs but almost each and every body part and the result is just amazing. He looks mind-blowing." Now that's what you call 'proportionate achievement'.
Dilli 6 rumour

Rakeysh Mehra talks about the Dilli 6 casting
Dilli 6 is in the final stages of scripting and the casting will begin soon. And contrary to rumours, he hasn't roped in Abhishek or Hrithik for any of the roles. Of course, given a choice from the current breed of actors, he says, "Actors like Hrithik and Abhishek have not only kicked the door, they've broken the doors and walked out. They've so much potential." But well, that's no indication that they'll be the cast of his film; and knowing his knack for using untapped talent (Kunal Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Siddharth from RDB) we may just be ready to be stormed by surprise again!
